My Easter Garden by Rufus

“We’ve been working on an Easter garden and having lots of fun doing it. It was a real family effort. Rufus listed out what he wanted to include. Like a fire for marshmallows, a table, blossom trees, a veg patch like grandpas, a pool, and an Easter egg hunt. We then searched the house and garden for objects we could use to help create a model of the garden. Toilet rolls, lollipop sticks, recycled boxes, old scraps of grass and paving, some of my silk flowers, and Rufus came up with the idea of using brightly coloured beads for the eggs and flowers. We then spent time putting it together, gluing, sticking, threading. Such a great project!”

Max’s Dino Garden

“Max had the idea for a dinosaur-themed mini garden, including dividing the garden into the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, with appropriate dinosaurs. Max chose the plants, planted them (with help from mummy) and placed the other elements – stones, volcano and water – in the garden. He enjoyed painting stones to make the water and the volcano, and also the sign. He found the big piece of wood for the sign on one of our spring walks”.
