Rufus has started planning his garden and is really getting into it. I hear it will involve a table for grownups to put their drinks on, how thoughtful! He also wants to hide pretend Easter eggs. What great ideas Rufus, we can’t wait to see your finished garden!

Giorgia’s Magic Garden
Thank you to Giorgia for her magnificent magic garden. What a well planned and neatly labelled garden. It is truly enchanting!
My Garden by Clemmie
We have received our first garden project sent to wowmoments@pelham.merton.sch.uk.
Well done to Clemmie on her beautiful and colourful garden!
“Clemmie loved the idea of creating a Spring Garden so we did it as a project for the day today. She LOVED it and took great pride in researching, planning and designing the garden. She picked and placed the flowers for her meadow, made the statue of an ice cream (the thing in pink, made from play dough!), and used the smaller stone from our driveway to make her path. She also helped me to stick the shells on to form her art installation, which she saw on a picture of a Hampton Court Flower Show garden! Since finishing, she has been having her Lego people take baths in the pond and generally play in the garden!”
My garden so far…
I love gardening! But, like most people living in London my outdoor space is a bit limited. I have a balcony full of pots and planters, but I dream of having a big garden which is why I am very excited to be joining in this Easter project with you.
Researching and planning
I have been looking through my gardening books and old magazines, researching the types of plants I might like in my garden. I love the cottage gardens, full of flowers and space to grow fruit and veg. I’ve cut out some pictures I liked, and drawn and painted the other things I want to include.
Starting to create
Time to look through the recycling bin to find any boxes, bottles and lids I can use for my garden. I’ve made a little cottage for my garden by taping together some boxes, covering them in paper and painting. Now I need to start gathering the other resources I will need. Check again soon to see how my garden is progressing. Send in photos so we can see how yours is coming along.
