I DID IT!!

I did it!!  It was the most amazing feeling to complete my challenge.  I came in under 2 hours, which was my aim.  Thank you to all of my supporters and especially Sam, who ran the last 100 metres with me!

One week to go!

Well, my last weekend of training is over!  I have done a 750m outdoor swim, a 27k bike ride and a run around Quicks Road Park!  I am excited and nervous about next week, but I am looking forward to completing this challenge.  Thank you for all of your support, sponsorship and messages.

10 days to go! Yikes!!!

I am feeling rather nervous this week; it is only 10 days until I do my triathlon!  Last weekend I swam in the Tooting Lido pool again – this time a barmy 11.5 degrees.  I was very cold but more prepared this time.  Out Royal Albert Hall rehearsal was on Sunday, so I made sure that I biked there and back (with a slightly longer route.)  This weekend I am going to do all 3: run, bike and swim for the final time.  I’ll let you know how I get on.  Watch this space…

Only 3 weeks to go!!

Hello all!

I cannot believe that there are only 3 weeks until I am doing my triathlon!!  I am feeling really nervous, but also excited that the day is nearly here.  Trying to squash in training whenever I can at the moment,  I did a cycle before work today and a run last night with lots of sprints.  At the weekend, I am going to do some outdoor swimming in my wetsuit to get used to it.  I’ll let you know how I get on!

Easter Holidays :)

It is so lovely to be training in the sun.  I have spent the first week of the holidays working quite hard.  Plenty of swimming as this is the part that I really don’t have time for when I’m at work.  I’m eating well and feeling fit!  Click on the picture for a short video.  Enjoy the sun! xx

Practice Triathlon – eeeeeeeek!

On Sunday I did a practice triathlon with my friend, Leslie, in the gym.  IT WAS HARD!! I was really delighted to have completed all of the distances though.  Here are my times…

Swim: 20 minutes, bike: 39 minutes, run: 32 minutes (this was a bit slow for me but I had a nasty stitch at the end!).
