An emerald jewel of coral reefs and diamond dust beaches was enclosed by a lush green forest. A long arc of golden sand was sheltered by erect palm trees, forming sinister shadows over the arid island. The sun blazed from a sky with little clouds and millions of sparkles, like diamonds, glittered on the serene water. Smooth, shiny rocks were bathed by the lapping waves. An unknown creature flew overhead, casting a shadow on the powdery strip of sand.
The horizon stretches across my entire field of view in the most spectacular fashion. A massive expanse of crystal clear water is all I can see ahead of me with a miniature sail boat proudly sailing along with its small white sails catching the little sea breeze. This same breeze caresses my skin, keeping it pleasantly warm in spite of the slowing fading sun, making me feel like it is hugging me warmly. The beautiful colour which seems to be a mix of orange and pink fills the dark blue sky and colours the puffy white clouds. The calm ocean reflects this most amazing colour in the way which only it can. The waves gently lull on the sandy shore, slowly breaking then receding, always gracefully touching my toes. The smell which these waves conjure is not fishy and disgusting as it sometimes is but rather soft and a little salty which just so luscious. The sea gulls circle in the air, occasionally landing near me. One sea gull dives from the air only to lift itself up again as it nears the water, making a small V in the water behind it. I find myself thinking that perhaps this is the last thing i will see before…
Gentle, rippling waves lapped the sandy shores, while the emerald green palm leaves swayed in the subtle breeze. The sky, like a bustling road with all the clouds trying to get past, observed the haven of tranquility below its candy-floss like clouds. Beneath the island, lay a magically colourful coral reef, with vibrant flora littered everywhere you went, and tropical fish swimming around in the sapphire blue waters. Coral like sparkling jewels glinting prettily in the sunlight, water that was warmer and more heavenly than you had ever felt before, and sand that would slip through your fingers effortlessly before you had a chance to embrace its golden beauty. There were infinite caves and crevices to explore, infinite trees to climb. Infinite degrees of serenity and joy you could experience just by looking at it. Perfection at its essence.
Until the attack of global warming.
The coral reefs, which had once been so majestic, died and the rest of the island was engulfed in water, never to be seen again…
A beautiful sunny clear blue sky stretched across the glittering gold sand as my toes sank deeper I could feel some thing nipping at my toe. A crab. As I stood up I brushed the sand and the crab off my feet. The blue sky glittered soureenly on the waves as it licked the edges of the rock sitting motionless on the warm sand.
The water gently sways to and fro in and out. hypnotizing all in sight, swirls and swishes like Alma’s fate. The beach has sand like saw dust being spread out by gods. Rocks barrier reefs like walls to a enchanting home of extraordinary creatures. In the distance a sharp fin appeared, stuck out like a nail. minutes later the water has been died red.A harpoon floated in the waters but so did a body.
The pale-yellow sun beat down on the tropical paradise, forcing the island creatures back into the shade of the palm-trees. The soft, golden sand was dotted with imaculate shells, washed up by the calm ocean. The ocean its self was a spectacle of turqoise and blue. The foamy waves lapped relentlessly at the shore, while further away, a turtle started to hatch. Cracks raced up the egg-shell as a tiny head poked out of the shell. Frantically, the little turtle made a dash for the ocean, the only place it would be safe. Suddenly, a giant albatros swooped down, talons out-streched. The poor turtle was plucked of the warm sand and away.
Part 2
The island was circled by a shallow lagoon on a beautiful reef teeming with multi-coloured corals and tropical fish. Along with the sea licking the side, the rocky island slopes were ablaze with purple heather. The palm trees swayed in the breeze as they stood, like guards, protecting the inner forest. Sugar white sand stretched for miles along the narrow coast, shimmering with heat.
You wake up and you find this paradise then you realise you have no food no water and you might go crazy because you have no one to talk to but this Sea is really clear
The blue sea sparkled like a rare jewel and rippled softly in the breeze. Metres away from the shore-line, a smooth rock stood out of the water. Seaweed was clinging to the side of the rock like glue. The beach was a long arc of sugar-white sand, sheltered by dunes and large umbrella palm trees. Despite the fact that it was stifling hot, I could still feel the gentle breeze tickling my face. As my feet relaxed in the swirling water, the sun beat down on me, sapping my strength.
As I touched the magnificent crystal clear water a slight ripple disturbed the clear still mass around me. The golden sand was getting washed away and then appearing after the exotic ocean retreated back into the huge vast mass. As I stood up I felt a warm breeze caress my soft slack skin making me feel warm inside. As the sea licked the edges of the grey boulder-like rocks I thought is this the last thing I see before…
Oh Ospreys! I really wish I were in that location this weekend!

That’s a tree shadow not a ‘creature’ Adam.
I looked at it differently.
Nice

It’s meant to be a description Jake!

Are you trying to make your ending like Norwich in Floodland?
I was a bit inspired by that, yes.
I found this on the internet and thought it was very good and then I thought I would share it with you

Sorry not died, dyed.

Just saying there were no albatrosses or turtles. Also your description turned into a story at the end.
Off not of!
I like turtles 🙂

Sorry, one part doesn’t make sense. Just ignore it.
Sure.
In the second sentence it should be ‘licking its side’.
