A merchant can place 8 large boxes or 10 small boxes into a carton for shipping. In one shipment, he sent a total of 96 boxes. If there are more large boxes than small boxes, how many cartons did he ship?

He could have sent 11 because if he sends 7 small ones (7*8=56) and 4 large ones (4*10=40) makes 96. The answer is 11!
Or he could have 10. If he has 8
Mr Burnes, my typing keeps on disappearing and I don’t know why so I may be unable to do the blogging for a while.
I agree with Adam, I worked it out by going systematically from 90+6, 80+16 etc. until I found one that worked.40+56=96.
Thanks for agreeing!
