France!

Here is your (virtual) trip to France.  Owls A, thank you so much for not spoiling the surprise for everyone else in the class – Madame Sharkey and I were impressed, and of course it meant that everyone else had the chance to be just as surprised (and confoxicated) as you were.

When it came to cheese tasting, some of you were delighted…

We had at least one newly discovered camembert devotee…

But some of you weren’t quite so convinced…

BiG thanks to all of those members of staff who collaborated on this project, and to you guys for all the work that you – unknowingly – contributed towards it.  You will be able to access the link until the end of this academic year, when it will be taken down.

Spanish extravaganza…

Yet another successful Spanish lesson today!

We recapped our colours from last week, and we all know that Saif’s favourite colour is amarillo…

Sarah, our resident mini-maestra had written an original story…

Oliver kindly dramatised it for us…

We looked at numbers…

And animals…

And watched another amusing video

Here is the link:

(And this is the link for last week’s super popular toilet song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3KbP2OEbW4)

And if that wasn’t enough, we also played bingo – congratulations to Emma and Sofia…

Can’t wait for Thursday’s lesson 🙂

Yearbook cover design competition – shortlist reveal

Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard on their Yearbook cover design, there were several entries of exceptional quality. Mr. Burns, Mrs. Greer and I had some robust discussions as we whittled down all the artworks to a final shortlist.

DRUMROLL PLEASE…

Mina’s…

Ilaria’s…

Sarah’s…

Elpida’s…

Imani’s…

HUGE congratulations to all of our finalists.

The winner will be revealed at our Leavers’ Assembly when we hand out the published yearbooks!

More Spanish fun!

We had another brilliant Spanish lesson today.  Again, thanks to Madame Sharkey, as well as Erika and Marcos who helped us with our pronunciation, especially the Spanish ‘r’.

Again, we found a certain video quite amusing…And it was lovely to see some of Owls dialling in to our lesson
