Hi everyone

I’ve noticed a few basic errors appearing in many of your comments and wanted to remind you to re-read them before posting, just as you would re-read your work in class, checking for punctuation and capital letters (especially for names and ‘I’).  Autocorrect will not always save you!

Home-Learning

Thank you once again to those of you who have already sent in your AF Harrold inspired Say something nice poem.  If you haven’t already done so, please make sure that you send your illustrated piece to homelearning@pelham.merton.sch.uk by this coming Wednesday at the latest, so that it can be included in the Year 6 PowerPoint.

Please also remember that sending in your learning is specifically prescribed for some subjects/projects on the Year 6 home-learning page.

And, this week, the Unicorns have it!  Well done Unicorns, you’re doing a great job. Come on Dragons, you need to rally the troops – you can do it!

The house points chart for Owls currently looks like this:

Unicorns:           28 (total = 50)

Dragons:            13 (total = 15)

Griffins:              11 (total = 29)

Phoenixes:          8 (total = 36)

Thank you, once again, to those of you who are engaging with the blog and sending in your home-learning, this is reflected in the house point chart. Please remember that sending in your learning is specifically required for some subjects/projects on the Year 6 home-learning page. Keep up the good work team!

Important notice about online behaviour

Dear children,

As you can all recall, we have done extensive in-class work on cyberbullying and appropriate online behaviour in Year 6. We all know the correct way to conduct ourselves online and the appropriate way to communicate when using online gaming and social media. I would like you all to reflect on this and to modify your behaviour if you feel that you may not be displaying the behaviours that are expected of you in Year 6.

If not, myself and the team at Pelham may have to intervene and manage this further.

Please stay safe online, remember our fundamental philosophy of kindness at Pelham and continue to use technology in a fun, educational and inspiring way.

Thank you,

Mrs. Watson
