2. 3 x 4 = 12
12 / 2 = 6
The area of the triangle is 6²cm
3. 12, 24, 48; I went through the multiples of 4, then 6 and found which ones both times tables had. Also, after I found 12 and 24, I thought that maybe I could just multiply each by two until I went over 50.
Day 17:
1. We know that Dora spends 72 pounds and the rest of the money is the same as Jacks. If we have one third how much did Dora not spend? She split it into thirds so we have 2 thirds left. 72 x 2 = 144. That is also the same amount that Jack didn’t spend. 144 is 3 quarters. How much did he spend? We have to divid 144 by 4 then multiply by 1 = 36! 🙂
2. Can you spot three more triangles? I can. Find the area of them take away the area of the square and the answer is 4!!!!!! 🙂
3. 12,24,36,48.!? 🙂
Hello!!
1. 72 * 2 =144
144 = 3/4
144 / 3 = 48
Jack spent £48
2. 3 x 4 = 12
12 / 2 = 6
The area of the triangle is 6²cm
3. 12, 24, 48; I went through the multiples of 4, then 6 and found which ones both times tables had. Also, after I found 12 and 24, I thought that maybe I could just multiply each by two until I went over 50.
Q1 is right, have another look at Q2 and double check Q3 – there’s one missing…
For number three I missed 36
🙂
Q2:
7cm to the power of 2
Well done!

Q3 is correct – have another look at Q1 & Q2.
1) £48. 72 times 2 is 144, 144 divide by 3 is 48.
2) 7㎠ outside of the triangle: 9㎠, 16 – 9 =7㎠.
3) 12, 24, 36, 48. multiple of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48.

multiple of 6: 6,12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48.
