Wednesday 20th May Spelling test- first week back after half term w/b 1st June

We’ re revising common exception words this week. They are words that don’t follow the usual spelling rules.

You can work on your spellings over half term, if you like, and have your spelling test on the first Monday back. Or you might like to have a week off and have your test further on in the first week back. Hopefully you already feel pretty confident with these words as we have been working on them throughout the year.

Well done for all of your hard work with your spellings!

Remember, if nine spellings is proving too much, you can cut down the number you learn each week, some is always better than none!

More suffixes this week, this time, -ly and -less

Think carefully about the spellings you have been learning recently, could you use some of these fantastic words in your very own, ‘Snail and the Whale’ story?

We’d love to see your stories when they are all finished in a few weeks time!
