Jake’s mum asked me for some Year 6 book recommendations and I remembered these two awesome book lists that I have.
The first is:
ONE HUNDRED BOOKS TO TRY TO READ BEFORE YOU LEAVE YEAR SIX!
How many of these books have you read? Which ones would you highly recommend? Are any on your wish-list?
My second list is a selection of books organised by genre.
Which is your favourite genre? Are there any genres that you read less of and should possibly explore more? Let us know in the comments!
Happy reading! 🙂
My favourite genre of books Is probably comedy.
Hi Eleni, do you have any book recommendations for us?
I hope you are well.
I mostly read adventure or action books. I am trying to read more non-fiction books. My sister has a big book of facts and it is very interesting.
Out of the 100* books to read before you leave year 6, I have read;
Kensuke’s Kingdom
Wonder
Time traveling with a hamster
Millions
Cloud Busting
Roof-toppers
London Eye Mystery
When Hitler stole pink rabbit
The demon headmaster
My brother is a superhero series
Swallows and Amazons
The boy in the striped PJ’s
Harry Potter series
and How to train your dragon.
*(P.S, there are only 84 books altogether). 🙂
Oh no! I must have lost a page from my document!
Which books on the list have you not read but would really like to?
I would like to read Beetle Boy as it had some good reviews from people in the class.
House point for blog engagement Ewen!
I recommend definitely the boy in the girls bathroom and murder most unladylike.
And the capital letters for the titles of these books Eleni? 🙂
I mainly like comedy, mystery and adventure books. I would recommend The Murder Most Unladylike series and the Dimond Brothers series (mystery) and pirate blunder beard (comedy), the magic misfits series and the Kid normal series. I have read Wonder and Murder most unladylike(the first four of them).
House point
I like mystery, horror, and adventure books. The book I’m currently reading is Ulysses Moore; I’ve just started this book.
Also, I have finished ‘The Thing About Jellyfish’ by Ali Benjamin, and I got a little emotional at the end!
Haha, I really like the reading memes, because they’re so true!
