    The green beam of light from the spectrum allows us to see the pear green.

    It is showing that the light from the sun is refracting and the light splits but because the pear is a green colour the pear absorbs the other colours apart from green so it reflects the green and then our perception of the pear is green.

    The sun is shining light onto the pear. The pear, which is green, is absorbing all the colours except green which is reflecting off. The boy can only see green on the pear.
