We have been learning how to understand different signs on maps to understand where things are. Previously, we were learning about contour lines.
For example: nature reserve, amusement parks and a viewing area.
We have been learning about symbols on maps. What they look like and what they mean; we have mostly been focusing one many different types of symbols. Some of them have been quite hard to figure out where as some are easier.
We have learnt about how to read different signs that you would see on an os map and learnt about the eastings and the westings.
Been learning about different symbols and what they are because there’s a place of worship and that’s many different symbols. I find the hardest is motorway and the main road
