SUPER MATHS CHALLENGE!

Brace yourselves for the ultimate number challenge!

I have a ten digit number, abcdefghij. Each of the digits is different, and

  • is divisible by 1
  • ab is divisible by 2
  • abc is divisible by 3
  • abcd is divisible by 4
  • abcde is divisible by 5
  • abcdef is divisible by 6
  • abcdefg is divisible by 7
  • abcdefgh is divisible by 8
  • abcdefghi is divisible by 9
  • abcdefghij is divisible by 10

What’s my number?

[To clarify: a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, and are all single digits. Each digit from 0 to 9 is represented by exactly one letter. The number abcdefghij is a ten-digit number whose first digit is a, second digit is b, and so on. It does not mean that you multiply x…]

This is super challenging and will take lots of time but I am confident that somebody in Ospreys’ class can crack this! 🙂

Why don’t you pair up or form a team to work on it?

Set up a Zoom conference.

Creative Writing

Use the above image as stimulus to write a short fiction narrative with dialogue.

For a house point, could somebody come up with a success criteria for us to use?

House Points

So I have decided that I want to continue to reward you guys for great effort in home learning and blog engagement. I was thinking of creating a virtual house points chart that I share with you every Friday. And perhaps the winner can get a special treat at our end of Year 6 party (whenever we finally get to have it!)

What do you think?

Sneezing facts!

I love these great sneezing facts from Beano.com 🙂

1) You produce 2.5 pints of snot every day.

(Oh, and you swallow most of it)

2) A single sneeze releases 100,000 germs into the air.

3) Germs can be blasted up to 5 feet away.

4) The world’s longest sneeze was by Donna Griffiths in Worcestershire.

(She sneezed non-stop for 978 days!)

5) When you sneeze, bacteria stays in the air for up to 45 minutes.

6) A sneeze can send germs flying out at up to 200 miles per hour!

Can you guys research any other sneezing facts?

Fiction narrative – Skellig

Thank you to Catherine for sending in the most recent paragraphs that you have written in your alternative version of Skellig. 🙂

If possible, could you type up your writing if you would like it critiqued on the blog? Sadly, the photographs are hard to read when uploaded.

Thanks everyone and keep the work coming in!
